Noticeboard
- If your child is a narrator or has any words to say in our Reception play, please help them to learn them and say them in a loud voice at home. They were sent home on Monday along with the slip telling you what your child is going to be in the play.
- Our Reception performance will be on Wednesday 7th December at 9:30am. Parents/carers will be invited. We wanted to give you as much notice as possible so that you can make arrangements to allow you to come and watch the performance of the year!
- We would like you to support your child to hold their pencil correctly when they are using them at home. Children should be using a tripod grip. Click here to see a BBC Bitesize video about how to hold a pencil.
Celebrations
This week, the children have been learning like the ELLI Teamwork Bee. They have been working together to make collaborative paintings of swarms of bees. Alongside this, the children have loved playing with the water on the patio and enjoyed visiting the school library again.
Star of the Week
Daffodil Class – Jake
Buttercup Class – Sylvie
Daisy Class – Freddy
Tapestry – Observation request
The focus this week is Maths.
Go on a shape hunt with your child either around the house or out and about. Take photos of the shapes you can see in the environment (e.g. square windows, circle road sign). Talk to your child about the properties of the shape. How many sides does it have? Are they straight or curved? How many corners? Your child will have a chance to show the shapes they found to their classmates.
You can also send us any moments that you feel are significant in your child’s learning or want to share with your child’s class teachers.
